Here are some hints and tips on driving a hire car in South Africa:

Drive on the left.
Always stick to the speed limits, which are 35mph in built up areas, 60mph outside of built up areas and 75mph on motorways.
Never drink and drive.
Wearing your seatbelt is a legal requirement when driving in South Africa.
Always carry the relevant documentation. Take either an international driver's license or your own (as long as it has a photo on it).
